The Beast

We follow a girl that is to be married with a man she has only written letters too. She is to be married in his and his fathers mansion, but the mansion holds secrets. Old books about beasts and humans together in ways frowned upon by most people.

I am not sure how to explain this movie. It was shocking yet somehow erotic. I was left with an uneasy feeling, maybe guilt, for liking it in a way I am not supposed to. It also made me think about the human nature, and how we are not that far from the animals as we like to believe. This goes especially for the flashback scenes while the girl is masturbating.

I rate this movie a 6/10. It is not for everyone, and the beginning is slow, but in the last 30 minutes it gets interesting in ways that are hard to describe.
