The second movie in the Underworld series by production date, but the last one if you follow the storyline. The focus is switched from normal vampires against werewolves too the fight against the big bosses. By doing this they have also expanded on the special effects making Marcus and William look different from the normal beasts.
Marcus is a huge demon looking vampire and looks amazingly badass. Major kudos to the people that came up with the concept. William also looks different from normal werewolves. He is a lot bigger and white. Overall the special effects team did a awesome job in bringing these creatures to life.
The story is also good and continues where Underworld ended. There are a few "plot holes" but overall I was very satisfied. They made the plot more epic which was necessary to progress the story. There is also more focus on the love between Selene and Michael.
What makes the underworld series so enjoyable is largely the action scenes. And Underworld: Evolution is no exception. Especially the last fight is very cool to watch.
If you liked the first Underworld I am fairly certain you will enjoy this one as well. It completes the story nicely while being a great action/fantasy film. 8/10
